This will be Lidia Orosa's first exhibition of her work.  Congratulations to both artists!

She Who Must Be Obeyed exhibited at National Arts Club - NYC
Oct 1, 2007

Llima Orosa will be exhibiting She Who Must Be Obeyed, at the National Arts Club, on Tuesday, October 2nd, from 6-8pm.

She will be a guest of Laurie Weber, who will be exhibiting Mistress. This piece was inspired by Llima's photograph.

From the National Arts Club website:

The National Arts Club was founded in 1898 by Charles de Kay, the literary and art critic for The New York Times for 18 years. He and a group of distinguished artists and patrons conceived of agathering place for artists, patrons and audiences in all the arts. American art at the turn of the century had begun to look inward for inspiration, rather than to Europe, and the American art world was alive with energy. As The National Arts Club moved into its first home in a townhouse on 34th Street, American art had found a new home.

Photography work started for Gene-Manuel's "8 [Different Ways] video
Sep 2, 2007
Llima Orosa has begun a series a photoshoots that will become part of Gene-Manuel's new video for the song "8 [Different Ways]".

The latest shoot included NYC's own DJ Tabu along with actors Nikki E. Walker and Nathan Gehan.  Most of the outdoor photography took place in Greenwich Village before moving indoors to the beautiful Cafe Noir in SOHO. The day ended with a rooftop session overlooking Chelsea and another indoor session with Andy Bove.

Next up: a session with Lidia Orosa and a photoshoot of a live performance by cuban singer Regina, who performs on the "8 [Different Ways]" track.
